A glorious holiday to the ‘Garden of England’ with visits to the Historic Dockyard Chatham, the ‘loveliest Castle in the world’ and historic Canterbury.
Depart South Wales and travel to the Ashford International Hotel.
Day 2 – The Historic Dockyard Chatham
For 400 years, the Royal Dockyard at Chatham made ships for the Royal Navy, including the nation’s most loved – HMS Victory. 400 years on, they don’t make ships, but tell the extraordinary stories of the people who did. Our visit also includes a Call the Midwife guided tour. Led by your very own ‘midwife’ your group will visit areas used as the locations in the popular TV series.
Day 3 – Leeds Castle
Today we visit the world-renowned Leeds Castle. Rising majestically from the still waters of its moat, Leeds Castle is without a doubt one of the most beautiful venues in Kent. Discover almost 900 years of history and explore 500 acres of beautiful parkland and gardens at "the loveliest Castle in the world".
Day 4 – Canterbury
Discover the cobbled streets and hidden gems of this world-famous cathedral city. Once one of medieval Europe’s great places of pilgrimages, Canterbury is now a busy market city but with much of its medieval character intact.
After breakfast depart for home.
